Frequently Asked questions (FAQ’s)
How does dumpster pricing work?
We offer a simple, flat rate, with no hidden fees. Your dumpster will come with a weight limit and if you require additional weight, we can provide a price when you place your order or charge you after the dumpster is weighed. Pricing is determined by a combination of the size of the dumpster, the materials being put in the dumpster (heavier materials can increase costs), and the distance to the nearest landfill or transfer station. Geography can also impact pricing due to city-specific fees and landfill costs.
What items are prohibited in the dumpster?
Prohibited Items Include: Wet paint, batteries, motor oil, mercury, turpentine, propane, gas, tires, cell phone, air conditioner/refrigerator (freon coils must be removed), television, electronics, and mattress. If you are disposing of heavy waste such as concrete or dirt, we recommend choosing a dumpster designed for unlimited, heavy debris.
Do I need a Street Permit to rent a dumpster?
Street Permits are generally only required if you are placing your dumpster directly on a street, sidewalk, or any type of public property. If you are placing your dumpster in your driveway or a privately owned space, a Street Permit is not required.
How long can I rent a dumpster?
Rental periods vary from 7-14 days; however, all rentals can be extended at a minimal cost, typically $20-$25 per day.
Where is the best place to put a dumpster?
Locate a flat area that has at least three feet of clearance around each side of the dumpster, at least twenty-two feet of unobstructed clearance height, and thirty-five feet of unobstructed room in front of the dumpster for a truck to complete pick-up. If a paved driveway is being used, you may want to consider covering the driveway or putting wood underneath your dumpster to reduce the risk of damage.
Will my HOA allow me to rent a dumpster?
Your HOA may have restrictions, so we recommend you confirm this before renting and choosing a location for your dumpster.
